Gucci introduced the 0633 handbag first utilizing Bamboo in 1947, in response to post war material shortages & needing new innovative materials for handles. With its unique structured saddle inspired shape, an homage to the houses equestrian history, the style became a longstanding icon & was seen worn on & off screen by celebrities of the 1950s & 60s, including Elizabeth Taylor & Grace Kelly. In 2022 Alessandro Michele re-issued the original 0633 shape in various styles & sizes.
